On January 17, President Qiu Yinghao and Vice President Zeng Guowei from the University of Taipei led a delegation to visit Fujian Normal University (FNU). They were warmly welcomed by President Zheng Jiajian. Representatives from the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Affairs Office, as well as the College of Sports Sciences, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, President Zheng Jiajian praised the University of Taipei for its outstanding achievements in discipline development, academic research, and innovative education. He expressed hope that this visit would strengthen communication, deepen friendship, and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation. He proposed enriching academic and cultural exchanges between faculty and students, leveraging the complementary strengths of both institutions. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of identifying new collaborative opportunities, exploring innovative models of cooperation, and deepening fields of cooperation to promote the integrated development of cross-strait education.

President Qiu Yinghao provided an overview of the University of Taipei and its accomplishments in international cooperation and exchanges. He expressed admiration for Fujian Normal University’s contributions to promoting cross-strait higher education integration. Qiu emphasized that the University of Taipei is committed to fostering educational exchanges and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait and values its relationship with universities in mainland China. He hoped that this visit would further consolidate the partnership, facilitate two-way exchanges between faculty and students, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship among young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, injecting new vitality into the development of cross-strait higher education.
