President Chen Ching-Ho Leads Delegation from Shih Hsin University to Visit Fujian Normal University

On February 28, a delegation from Shih Hsin University in Taiwan, led by President Chen Ching-Ho and Vice President Fedrick Lee Kung-Chin, visited Fujian Normal University (FNU). They were warmly received by President Zheng Jiajian and Vice President Ouyang Songying. The meeting was also attended by heads of relevant departments, including the Party and Administration Office, the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Affairs Office, the School of Communication, and the College of Cultural Tourism & Public Administration.



During the meeting, President Zheng Jiajian extended a warm welcome to President Chen Ching-Ho and his delegation. He noted that Shih Hsin University and Fujian Normal University have maintained a long-standing and friendly cooperative relationship, with a shared focus on the integrated development of higher education between Fujian and Taiwan. Over the years, the two universities have jointly advanced the Fujian-Taiwan talent cultivation program, achieving positive academic results and earning widespread societal recognition. President Zheng expressed hope that this visit would further strengthen communication, deepen academic and cultural exchanges between faculty and students, and explore new avenues for cooperation. He emphasized the importance of establishing broader platforms for dialogue and collaboration, aiming to promote the joint development of both universities while contributing to the Cross-Strait integration of higher education.

President Chen Ching-Ho echoed these sentiments, highlighting the strong partnership between Shih Hsin University and Fujian Normal University. He noted that since the establishment of sister-school ties, the two institutions have successfully launched multiple cooperative education initiatives and organized faculty and student exchange programs. President Chen expressed his desire for both universities to continue leveraging their collaborative strengths to host diverse academic, cultural, and youth exchange activities. These efforts, he said, would enhance mutual understanding and friendship among young students across the strait, lay a solid foundation for long-term educational cooperation, and actively contribute to the advancement of higher education in Fujian and Taiwan.

Following the meeting, President Chen Ching-Ho and his delegation visited the School of Communication and the College of Cultural Tourism & Public Administration, where they conducted on-site inspections and engaged in discussions with faculty members.
